Adenike Ojo is a writer born and raised in Hackney, London. Adenike won the award for “Best Playwright” at the 2023 Black British Theatre Awards for her debut play, “In Hiding.” The play turns a cultural lens onto autism, shedding light on a topic that is still stigmatised within the African community, and it aims to challenge these misconceptions and promote understanding.

Notably, the play not only received critical acclaim when it premiered in 2023, but also made history by selling out its entire run, boasting a substantial waitlist.

Adenike studied screenwriting at the National Film and Television School, Beaconsfield, which has honed her storytelling skills. She is deeply passionate about introducing new perspectives and sparking meaningful debate through her material.
