Chioma Obaro is the founder of BE INSPIRED EMPOWERMENT SOCIETY OF NIGERIA popularly known as BIN (an acronym for the group’s name on Facebook).

Be Inspired Nigeria is a registered NGO with the mission of alleviating the suffering of women and children (with particular focus on the plights of widows in our society) through various projects and outreaches all around the country.

Over the past 3-4 years of BIN existence, the NGO has supported over 200 widows with business grants to start up their small scale businesses and ongoing mentorship to support them. BIN has been involved in various healthcare charity support including donation of over N600k for the treatment of a child with cancer with the Children Living with Cancer Foundation at LUTH, over N1.2m donation to kidney patient at Abuja, rehabilitation of the Mother’s ward (mothers of children in the Neonatal ward) at the Eti-osa Maternal and Child centre Ajah Lekki Lagos among others. BIN also has a Counselling unit for suicide and depression support where qualified and experienced doctors and clinical psychologists provide support free of charge to people passing through depression – particularly victims of domesic violence.

Chioma Obaro works tirelessly with her team of indefatigable women to push the BIN vision. With over 30 BIN zones spread across the country, supporting their communities through various acts of charity not limited to Orphanage visits, visits to Destitute homes, visits to general hospitals and public schools etc, the NGO is helping to alleviate the sufferings of women within our communities in no small measure.

Chioma is a graduate of Banking & Finance from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. She also holds an MBA from Manchester Business School UK. Chioma Obaro is a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers – a professional services firm that continuously aims to make a difference to society through the work they do in various CR activities.

She is passionate about seeing women live an empowered life and become the best versions of themselves.

Chioma is happily married with 3 kids.
