The President and members of Rotary club of Akowonjo are getting ready to welcome the District Governor Rotarian Omotunde Lawson to Alimosho Local Government cum 15th of August, 2022.
The visit of the Governor to the club is a yearly event, where the President lead the team of the District Governor’s Entourage and members of the club to pay a courtesy visit to the Local Government chairman, after which several projects and Donations will be commissioned during the 1 day program.
This year’s program promises to be different as the club plan to unveil the National Flag of the federal republic of Nigeria, alongside the Rotary club of Akowonjo flag with intent to create awareness of our continuous existence since the last 37 years in that community. The train will also stop by at little saint orphanage, where donations of essential items such as food stuff, beverages, toiletries etc will be donated to the less privileged, while visit will be made to Bola Ahmed Tinubu Health centre and State Senior High school Alimosho to donate essential items such as Air conditioner, ceiling fans, mosquito treated nets, Computer Desktop respectively.
While we look forward to this year’s event, we like to use this medium to invite the general public to partner with us on the line up of projects to ensure we meet the needs of members of our community and continue to promote sustainable development within our catchment environment.
