The WIMBIZ (Women in Management, Business and Public Service) Media Parley held recently was a vibrant session of reflections, celebrations, and a call for collaboration. The session, attended by media partners and stakeholders, emphasized WIMBIZ’s enduring commitment to inspiring and empowering women for leadership in business, management, and public service.

The WIMBIZ team expressed gratitude to long-standing partners and welcomed feedback to enhance future collaborations, emphasizing a win-win partnership approach.

Highlighting achievements from the previous year, WIMBIZ reported it had empowered over 340,000 women, with a robust community of over 3,000 life members and associates across 23 countries. Programs like Big Sister, Women on Boards, and various roundtables and conferences (including the London and IWD events) continue to deepen its impact.

Notably, WIMBIZ facilitated grants to female entrepreneurs, launched advocacy publications, and shared its Gender Parity Scorecard—an important tool for assessing organizational inclusivity.

In 2024, WIMBIZ received NGO Source certification and was recognized at the Global Entrepreneurship Festival. They joined the Nigerian Network of NGOs and acquired a permanent office space.

Moving into 2025, WIMBIZ has already hosted a cross-border trade webinar with over 2,000 businesswomen, addressed emotional wellness and reproductive health, and launched sector-specific initiatives including Women in Law, Construction, and Housing. These targeted campaigns reveal glaring gaps—such as only 4% of SANs being women—and WIMBIZ is actively creating leadership pathways through stakeholder dialogues and publications.

The stakeholder session for Women in Law brought together legal powerhouses—judges, SANs, law firm partners, and corporate counsels—to brainstorm practical routes to leadership. Four distinct pathways were outlined: becoming a SAN, judge, law firm partner, or chief legal counsel.

Also notable were their onboarding sessions for new members, the annual general meeting, and virtual roundtables on financial literacy and enduring wealth for women.

With a packed calendar ahead, WIMBIZ continues to shape a future where women can lead boldly, across sectors and borders.

The future is female—and it’s WIMBIZ-powered.
