Banke Oki-Balogun is a visionary educator, edtech entrepreneur, and global advocate for high-quality education. Born into a family of educators, she developed a passion for teaching early on, assisting in her parents’ school.
She began her professional career in banking at GTBank Nigeria, specializing in marketing, operations, and strategic growth. After relocating to Canada, she joined CIBC, where she expanded her expertise in business management and leadership. However, her passion for transforming education led her back to the sector where she could make the most impact.
Determined to bridge global education gaps, Banke earned a Master of Public Administration with distinction from Queen Mary University of London, specializing in education policy and leadership. She further earned a Master’s in Education and International Development at UCL’s Institute of Education, gaining deeper insights into global learning systems.
While navigating Canada’s education landscape, she recognized the struggles of immigrant families in ensuring academic continuity for their children. This inspired her to launch Naijatutors Konnect, an innovative edtech platform connecting exceptional Nigerian tutors with students worldwide.
